Life in Six by Eight is a dance show that seeks to mix tradition and modernity and driven by the pulse of the rhythm known as “6x8”, the show "Life in Six by Eight" has the cycle of life as its inspiring theme and exchanges languages in the fusion of southern folk ballet with contemporary dance.
With its own transgressive style, the work also flirts with different dance styles such as flamenco and percussive dance.
On stage, four choreographers-performers are led by new songs performed live by six musicians in a performance imbued with energy, sensitivity and visual impact.
This project was awarded by the Support Program for the Diffusion and Popularization of Science and Technology – 2012, from the Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
